The purpose of the Heart of Dixie Ride is to explore and experience the Historic and Culturally Diverse state of Alabama on your bike. This should be a fun exploration on your bike, not a grueling ride. This is a self-guided, Ride. It is not a race, and it is not a 1,000 mile a day event. Alabama has fascinating history, great roads to ride, awesome food to try in different varied geographic regions, cool towns to explore, and many nice People to meet.
Make it to all the Ride stops to qualify as a Finisher (in accordance with the rules for participation) and earn a patch. More details are in the Rules The Ride lasts until December 2027. So, folks can spend time exploring, seeing the sights, Visiting the stop Locations and experiencing all that the great state of Alabama has to offer.
The Ride is open to all brands of motorcycles (two wheeled and three wheeled), The Ride is not open to cars and autocycles. Motorcycles with sidecars are allowed. Can Am spiders, Rikers and all Trikes are allowed.
Participants in the Ride will visit tour stops that include roadside attractions, historical sites, memorials, unique geography, and biker friendly businesses that sponsor the tour. Our great sponsors help make the tour possible.
This Ride is set up so all proceeds Benefit the A Foundation of Hope – The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation that feeds and houses children of military personnel and veterans facing urgent, unexpected hardships.
Registration starts August 1, 2026, for the 2027 Ride.
